Odds & Ends
This past week, we did prep work. Specifically, we dug out the end of the sewer line which had been inadvertently covered with dirt. We also worked to spread an entire dump truck load of topsoil across three sides of the house and around the front and side yards.

Pine Thicket Harvested for Lumber

Six Back Pillars Go Up
Rick M. and Rick Ichord put 18 foot treated lumber pillars (6 inches by 6 inches) across the back of the house to hold the porch and the roof.
Main Floor Joists Installed
The next step is installing 2 inch by 12 inch boards that are 16 foot long. These boards are the base of the main floor.
